Jiří Spousta (1967) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1991 and started to work as a lawyer in 1992, working for a major Czech law firm. From 1997 to 2003 he worked for the Prague office of an international law firm, concentrating on banking, securities and derivatives. He advises clients in connection with privatisation of strategic companies operating in the field of banking, telecommunication and the gas industry. He also advised Czech and international banks as arrangers, and, in other instances, also Czech borrowers, in connection with syndicated loans, and also with aircraft acquisition financing. Jiří Spousta has experience in acting on behalf of clients in legal proceedings before the Czech Securities Commission, Prague Stock Exchange, Czech Competition Office and provides corporate law advice on a regular basis.
