With effect as of 1 July 2024, pursuant to Government Decree No. 158/2024 Coll., on Establishing a list of countries whose citizens are not required to have an employment permit, an employee card, an intra-corporate transfer card or a blue card to work or perform work, dated 5 June 2024, the free entry to the labour market in the Czech Republic is opened for citizens of the following countries: the Commonwealth of Australia, Japan, Canada, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the Republic of Singapore, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, or the State of Israel. The new legislation is intended to allow free entry to the Czech labour market, especially for highly qualified employees from safe third countries, in order to support the growth of the Czech economy.
