Kryštof Janek (1966) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1990. He has been working as a lawyer since 1991 to 1998. He was appointed judge to the County Court in Trutnov (Okresní soud v Trutnově), in 2002 he joined the District Court of Prague 1 (Obvodní soud pro Prahu 1). He specialises in civil and commercial disputes and also family law. He is a regular lecturer of the Czech Bar Association, cooperates with the Judicial Academy. He is also a co-author of professional publications (e.g. civil procedure - judicial commentary). He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák a partneři s.r.o., advokátní kancelář since May 2009.
