Firm

Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. is an established firm of lawyers and patent attorneys which was founded in 1996. The founding lawyers of the firm graduated from Czech universities and subsequently studied at foreign universities (in Paris, Reims and London). Some of our lawyers practised law with premier international law firms were on several occasions seconded to their main offices in Paris and London and gained extensive experience of working for major international clients.

Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. provides legal advice to Czech and foreign clients in all significant areas of law. The firm works closely together with court valuers, tax advisors, and international law firms. Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. is also a member of Trans European Law Firms Alliance (TELFA) (www.telfa.org). TELFA is an association of independent law firms established in 1990 and has its central administration in Brussels. The member firms comprise more than 600 lawyers throughout Europe. TELFA covers all jurisdictions of EU Member States as well as certain other neighbouring jurisdictions, such as Switzerland and Turkey. Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. is the sole and exclusive member of this association from the Czech Republic.

Lawyers

Partners

František Vyskočil (1965) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1990 and he has been working as a lawyer since 1991. Before founding the law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. he worked for a Czech law firm (1991 - 1995) and also for an international law firm (1995 - 1996). František Vyskočil specialises in intellectual property law including copyrights, rights of performing artists, legal aspects of advertising and film production and protection of personality rights. He also advises clients in the area of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and commercial contracts. Since 2005 he has regularly given lectures in law at the department of production studies at the Film and TV Faculty and Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts.

Pavol Krošlák (1964) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1989 and has been working as a lawyer since then. He studied corporate law and legal aspects of information technology in England (1992) and Canada (1993).. Before founding the law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol., he worked for a Czech law firm (1991 - 1995). Pavol Krošlák has experience in corporate law including share and asset sales, securities law, information technology, copyright and litigation before ordinary courts and arbitrators. He also advises clients in the area of property law and insolvency. He is also a member of the Slovak Bar Association and, as such, he is admitted to practice law also in the Slovak Republic.

Eliška Barthelemy (1968) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1994. In 1991 she completed law studies in France (University of Reims) and in 1993 she obtained a diploma in international law from the Faculty of Law Paris II. She has been working as a lawyer since 1992, initially for an international law firm in Paris (1992-1993) and then in Prague (1993-1996). She concentrates on labour law, corporate law, acquisitions and restructurings, competition law and consumer protection law. Eliška Barthelemy is a certified French translator.

Michaela Fuchsová (1967) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1993. In 1991 she completed law studies in France (University of Reims) and in 1993 she obtained a diploma in international law from the Faculty of Law Paris II. She has been working as a lawyer since 1991, initially for an international law firm in Paris (1991), and then in Prague (1992-1996). She concentrates on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, property law (including legal aspects of development projects), commercial contracts and security interests, insolvency and labour law. She also acts on behalf of clients before arbitration courts.

Dana Lukajová (1966) is a patent attorney who has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 1984. She specialises in industrial property rights and, in particular, in the protection of denomination of origin, trademarks, industrial designs, trade secrets and know-how, licence agreements, franchising, including the relevant aspects of competition law such as unfair competition. She also advises on legal aspects of Internet and acts for clients in disputes involving internet domains. Dana Lukajová also works closely with patent attorneys in other jurisdictions.

Petr Ostrouchov (1972) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1999 and since 2000 he has been working for Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. He concentrates on intellectual property and, in particular, on copyright and related rights, on collective administration of rights, protection of personality rights and legal aspects of audiovisual industry, media and advertising. He has been teaching copyright and media law since 2002 at the Faculty of Film and Television of the Academy of Art in Prague and is a member of IAEL (The International Association of Entertainment Lawyers). Petr Ostrouchov also graduated from the Faculty of Film and Television of the Academy of Art in Prague (2003).

Jiří Spousta (1967) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1991 and started to work as a lawyer in 1992, working for a major Czech law firm. From 1997 to 2003 he worked for the Prague office of an international law firm, concentrating on banking, securities and derivatives. He advised clients in connection with privatisation of strategic companies operating in the field of banking, telecommunication and the gas industry. He also advised Czech and international banks as arrangers, and, in other instances, also Czech borrowers, in connection with syndicated loans. Jiří Spousta has experience in acting on behalf of clients in legal proceedings before the Czech Securities Commission, Prague Stock Exchange, Czech Competition Office and provides corporate law advice on a regular basis.

Senior Lawyers

Zuzana Císařová (1971) graduated from the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague and has completed a number of study terms abroad (Germany). She has been working in advocacy since 1994 and is also engaged in pedagogical assessment and publication activities. She regularly participates in legislative process. During the period of 2001 - 2006 she held the post of the chairman of the appeal board of the ethical committee of the International Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (MAFS, today as AIFP). She has long-standing legal experience in the area of civil, commercial and labour law. She specialises in the area of intellectual property and IT law (copyright law including software and registered trademarks), civil and commercial contract law, competition, media and advertisement law. She also represents clients in court, administrative and arbitration litigations. She started her cooperation with Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in December 2010.

Darja Habartová (1981) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2007. In 2006 she obtained a Diploma of European Union Studies at the University of Toulouse (France). She concentrates on corporate law, civil law, contract law and labour law. She also has experience in the area of public tenders, insolvency law and transformations of commercial companies and cooperatives. She has been a member of the law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since 2008.

Markéta Child (1975) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2001. After having worked for a year and a half for another leading Czech law firm, she joined Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in 2003. She concentrates on civil and commercial law. She also has experience in the area of insolvency law and the law of civil procedure.

Kryštof Janek (1966) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1990. He has been working as a lawyer since 1991 to 1998. He was appointed judge to the County Court in Trutnov (Okresní soud v Trutnově), in 2002 he joined the District Court of Prague 1 (Obvodní soud pro Prahu 1). He specialises in civil and commercial disputes and also family law. He is a regular lecturer of the Czech Bar Association, cooperates with the Judicial Academy. He is also a co-author of professional publications. He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since May 2009.

Lukáš Jurásek (1973), student of Lycée Carnot in Dijon, he later graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno in 2000. After that he worked in two law firms (Brno and Prague), since 2003 in the legal department of a bank and since 2004 he was executing the function of Head Lawyer in a trading company. In 2005, he passed the State Translator Examination in French and was registered as attorney-at-law at the Czech Bar Association. He specializes in private law branches (property law, commercial law). He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since 2005.

Rudolf Leška (1984) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2007, where he has been studying in the PhD program at the Institute of copyright, Industrial Property Rights and Competition Law. He was studying one year as a scholarship holder at the Faculty of Law of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (2007) and at the University of San Francisco School of Law where he graduated with an LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property and Technology Law (2011). He concentrates on media and intellectual property law, particularly the copyright law. He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since 2007.

Václav Macek (1974) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2000. He worked for four years for the Office of the Government, out of which he spent two years in a position of senior officer and has been actively involved in legislation process. He concentrates on civil law, commercial law, law of contract and labour law. He joined Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in 2006.

Lukáš Matějíček (1977) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2004. He concentrates on civil and commercial law. He has also experience in the area of insolvency law, the law of civil procedure and enforcement proceedings. He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since September 2011.

Dominika Načeradská (1972) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1997. In 1995, she studied at the University of Toulouse (France) where she obtained a diploma at european law. She has worked for 5 years for an important international law office. Within the frame of this law office she attended a trainee-ship in Paris. For 3 years she worked as a in-house lawyer for the big commercial chain. She joined the law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in 2006. She concentrates on the commercial law, civil law, consumer contests and commercial contracts.

Pavel Novotný (1971) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1994. In 1992 he passed the exams of civil and international law at the Faculty of Law in Rouen (France) and he obtained a diploma of postgraduate studies DESS in the field of international law from the Faculty of Law in Toulouse (France) in 1996. He has worked as a lawyer since 1996 and since 1998 he has been an associate of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. He was seconded to law firms in France and currently concentrates primarily on commercial law, civil law, labour law and property law.

Richard Pecha (1971) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1994. He has been working as a lawyer since 1994 and since 1999 he has been an associate of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. He has extensive experience in litigation before Czech courts and advises on various aspects of commercial contracts and constitutional law. He has also experience in the area of intellectual property (copyright), civil law including property law, labour law, family law, administrative and criminal law. Richard Pecha contributes regularly to Czech legal journals.

Ondřej Petroš (1973) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1999. He worked for five years for the Office of the Government where he dealt mainly with legislation and public law. He concentrates on civil and commercial law. He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since 2007.

Richard Růžička (1976) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University Prague in 2003 and the same year he started working for Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. He concentrates on civil and commercial law and advertising law.

Romana Szutanyi (1976) graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen in 2004. In 1995, she finished her undergraduate studies in Belgium, in 2002 she also studied european law in Belgium at the Universite Libre of Brussels and in 2003 she obtained a diploma of european law at the University of Toulouse (France). She joined the law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in 2004 and has worked for this firm even during her pre-graduate studies. She specialises in labour law and, in particular, individual and collective employment relations, including labour litigations and collective bargaining agreements, temporary work agency employment, employment of foreign citizens and temporary assignement of Czech employees abroad. She regularly gives public lectures relating especially to labour law issues.

Jana Tretiníková (1977) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2001. In 2000, she obtained the Diploma of European Union Studies at the University of Toulouse (France). She concentrates on corporate law, commercial contracts, labour law and property law. She is also experienced in the area of the law of civil procedure. She has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since 2004.

Brigita Winterlingová (1977) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno in 2002. In 2008 she obtained the Master of Laws diploma (LLM) in Information Technology, Intellectual Property Law at the University of East Anglia in Norwich (UK). She has been working as a lawyer since 2002. She specialises in civil and commercial law, in particular, in corporate law, labour law, family law, protection of personality rights and intellectual property law, especially in copyright. She joined Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in May 2009.

Junior Lawyers

Michaela Kazdová (1985) (1985) graduated from Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2011. She studied for two semesters at Faculty of Law of University Nancy 2. She concentrates on labour law, civil and commercial law. She has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since January 2012 and has worked for this firm even during her pre-graduate studies.

Martin Nedvěd (1986) graduated from the Faculty of law of Charles University in Prague in 2011. During his studies, he studied for one semester at the Shepard Broad Law Center, Nova Southeastern University (USA). In 2010, he obtained Diploma in an Introduction to English and EU Law at University of Cambridge (UK). In 2010, he also completed a one-year marketing and advertisement course. He mainly focuses on copyright law and related rights, collective rights management and advertisement law. He has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since January 2012.

Kateřina Procházková (1978) graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague in 2005. Between 2005 and 2008 she was involved in several projects in Canada as a consultant in the area of international trade law. In 2008, she graduated from the Dalhousie Law School in Canada with Master of Laws (LLM) focusing on the intellectual property law, media law and international trade law. She has been a member of Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. since September 2009.

Barbora Pollardová (1976) obtained a bachelor´s degree at the Metropolitan University in Prague in 2010 in the area of intellectual property with focusing on copyrights and intellectual property protection (including the related criminal law aspects), licences, unfair competition, international relations, marketing communication and intellectual property strategies. She is currently enrolled in the Master degree program at the Metropolitan University in Prague for International and regional relations of the intellectual property. She began her cooperation with Vyskočil, Krošlák & spol. in January 2011 and specialises in trademark law.
